Hogan Psychometrics – HPI, HDS & MVPI
Hogan HPI, HDS and MVPI assessments are globally renowned personality psychometric assessment tools. The tools measure three areas of personality:
- Hogan Personality Inventory (HPI) – ‘Bright side’ of personality. How we want to be perceived in the workplace and our work preferences.
The HPI is a Big 5 factor model of personality psychometric assessment tool. It can be appropriately used for selection, learning & development and succession planning.
- Hogan Development Survey (HDS) – Looks at the ‘dark side’ of personality. Specifically, de-railers which cause work concerns under stress and pressure. A critical assessment tool which is particularly powerful for senior leaders.
It assesses 11 personality-based performance risks which threaten performance, workplace relationships, productivity and corporate reputation. Typically, these behaviours can turn from being a strength in normal times to being destructive when the candidate is under extremely severe pressure.
- Hogan Motivation, Values, Preferences Indicator (MVPI) – An assessment of motivation and values which are our core business drivers. This is called the ‘inside’.
The MVPI assesses 10 scales which were developed around five themes: lifestyles, beliefs, occupational preferences, aversions and preferred associates.
Each of the online psychometric assessments provides valuable personality assessment information and when all three are taken together the resulting assessment is widely seen as being the most powerful all-round assessment of personality in the world.
