The term stress is a commonly used term to describe all of the negative feelings and emotions experienced in the workplace. Stress results from the pressures faced by individuals that cause them difficulty and is associated with a number of aspects of organisational life, such as conflict, poor communication or ambiguity. By understanding the extent to which these 'stressors' exist within your organisation, it is possible to reduce the pressures felt by your employees and improve their well-being, job satisfaction and performance.
Implementing a stress audit will allow you to:
Identify the stressors that exist within your organisation |
Clarify the areas within the organisation to be addressed |
Develop solutions to the problems faced by your employees |
Demonstrate a commitment to improving the well-being of your employees |
Improve the effectiveness of the work practices within your organisation |
Increase the performance of your employees and reduce absenteeism and turnover |
The Occupational Psychology Group will provide an in-depth understanding of the impact of different stressors and potential methods of dealing with stress in the workplace.
