Teambuilding

Teambuilding events are used to provide direction and motivation to teams which are under achieving, due to any number of reasons—the team may be newly formed, undergoing change, or simply not performing to its full potential. The format of an intervention may vary from a single event to a series of meetings addressing the different needs of various teams. These events are often guided by personality questionnaires to allow individuals to learn about themselves and their impact on others.

Our teambuilding events help the members of the team to:

Value the importance of teamwork and establish common goals and objectives
Appreciate the impact of their motives and values on how they communicate with others
Understand areas of potential conflict in the different motives and values within the team
Develop strategies for communicating more effectively with others in the team
Develop specific actions for each individual within the team to improve their effectiveness

The Occupational Psychology Group will work with you to identify, design and expertly facilitate the most appropriate method of teambuilding to meet the requirements of your organisation and improve the effectiveness of your team. Our consultants have recognised expertise in this field and have published articles and spoken at conferences on the role of personality in understanding and improving team performance.
